Sure, it looks cool, but it is total waste. Most of those rockets will roughly land at the same spot and will just further pulverize what the first few already destroyed or killed.You can cover the same blast radius with a few better aimed artillery shells or with fewer, bigger rockets, which is the idea behind the M270 MLRS and both take less time to reload.
